SUMMARY:Joint Minerals Committee in Casper:  LMOs on agenda
DESCRIPTION:Limited Mining Operations (LMOs) are operations for mining 15 acres or less.  These small undertakings are exempt from permitting and don’t require a period of publice comment.  New legislation would expand LMOs to include almost all minerals.  One such LMO was the controversial gravel pit  proposed on the edge of Casper.  Mines with the intention of growing could start as LMOs. \n \nThe meeting begins at 8:30 am in Casper in the Thyra Thomson State Office Building\, Round House Conference Room\, 3rd Floor\, Room 3024.  Read more>>> \n
