Collections of the Library of Congress (https://www.loc.gov/item/97500090/)\n\nTennessee was the 36th and last needed state to sign the suffrage proclamation. It granted women the right to vote in the United States.\nThe amendment was passed after decades of activism and protests.\nIts ratification was an important step in the fight for gender equality.
