DESCRIPTION:There will be two Open Houses\, both at the Casper Recreation Center\, and both from 5:30 – 8:00 pm.   Also\, the city mailed postcards about the sixth-cent tax. \n\nIf approved\, the 6th-cent tax would be an addition to the 1-cent tax\, which is itself already an addition to Wyoming’s 4% state sales tax.   Any pennies earned over those four would stay in Casper. \nThe tax will be on the ballot with a “menu\,” of projects voters can mark their support for. Examples include a new lift for the Hogadon Area Ski Basin and the Fire Station One remodel.  The city would have two years to use the money generated by the tax before the 5th-cent tax goes up on the ballot in 2026. \n\n\n\n\n\n
