DESCRIPTION:The LWV co-founded and co-chaired the Motor Voter coalition with groups like the ACLU and NAACP.  One aspect of the league’s NVRA work during the 1980s and 1990s.  The NVRA was signed into law by President Clinton in 1993. \n NVRA requires states: \n\n\n\nTo offer voter registration that accommodates persons with disabilities.\nGuarantee vote-by-mail\n Offer voter registration while applying or renewing for a driver’s license.
