Back in 1979 Jackie’s grandmother showed Jackie a clipping about a job in the Co Clerk’s office. An offer to babysit was the enticement that lured Jackie into what became 43 years in the Clerk’s office, 32 as the elected County Clerk.
150-200 well-wishers joined Jackie at her retirement party Wednesday December 28 at the Count Fair Grounds. Perhaps our best way to say good-bye is in the words of her Office Manager: “I just love Jackie.”
