2021 Making Democracy Work Award Winners

Geno Palazzari, Communications Manager for City of Gillette, and Jeremy Harder, Gillette Public Access Television Manager, received their engraved awards on July 6, 2021, at the Gillette City Council Meeting. On July 14, 2021, the Campbell County League of Women Voters hosted an Honor Reception for these two men and their guests. Gillette’s mayor, Louise Carter King, says, “They have also pushed the boundaries of what a ‘Cable Access’ studio traditionally provided. When Geno took over the studio, he recognized that people without cable were not able to view meetings and other GPA-TV offerings. He made it a priority to begin streaming all content online on the City of Gillette website. Jeremy has continued this innovative thinking by upgrading to high-definition signal and increasing GPA-TV’s online presence on YouTube.”
Gillette Community College District
Gillette Community College District was approved on August 17, 2021, by Campbell County voters who, also, elected seven individuals to be the first Gillette Community College District Board of Trustees.
