Flag Day:
June 14 All day
The 2nd Continental Congress first called for a common flag for the United States in 1777. In 1916, President Woodrow Wilson first made June 14 “Flag Day.” This day became a federal holiday in 1949. The Pledge of Allegiance was made official in 1942. Read more>>>
