Bad news: Activist networks have AI at work, generating large lists of voters they say should be deleted from current voter lists.
Worse news: At least the one case in this report urges county officials to vet the new list using the same source that they have.
Good news: FL has “guardrails” in place that might discourage activists from knowingly submitting bad data. FL also has a many-step process that spans multiple voting cycles. Names are nor removed until this process is exhausted.
Better news: There is a law, the National Voter Registration Act of 1993, which prohibits systematic purges within 90 days of a federal election.
