Director of the State Library Division Patricia Bach, State Librarian Jamie Markus, and the Governor wrote the American Library Association accusing the ALA for straying from their mission:
‘to provide leadership for the development, promotion, and improvement of library and information services and the profession of librarianship in order to enhance learning and ensure access to information for all,’
On the same day, Secretary of State Chuck Gray joined 13 Freedom Caucus members asking the Governor to discontinue ties to ALA. WY has been a member for 99 years!
