The WY Circuit Court is made up of nine districts, 22 judges, and three magistrate judges. Each county has a courthouse and an assigned judge and belongs to one district; e.g., Albany and Carbon counties comprise the 2nd Judicial District. Only Laramie and Natrona counties belong to single-county districts. Only Yellowstone has a full-time magistrate judge.
Ms. Weisman will serve the three counties of the 9th District: Teton, Fremont, and Sublette. She was one of three nominations given to the governor. Wyoming has a 7-person nominating committee. Devon O’Connell, a member of the LWV of Laramie, currently serves on this committee. Read more>>>
