The man now on trial, Jeremy Skibicki (36), was apprehended in May 2022. Three of the First Nation women he murdered were killed in Spring 2022. It was revealed that Skibicki found his First Nation victims at a homeless shelter.
It is not surprising that police did not collect DNA samples from 9 of the murdered women. A man scavenging in Skibicki’s trash dumpster phoned 911 to give police their tip about partials remains.
