Equal WY critiques the 2023 legislative session on health care and education

• $1.4 billion went into savings—an all-time record— while restoring  $15 million previously cut during the 2021 session.
• Rep. Bear (R-Gillette) and opens find the government is “too expansive” and sees the Department of Health as the main problem.  Meanwhile, Rep. Sommers remarked  that “I know darn well [doing nothing] doesn’t work.”
• Governor Gordon added that last year the suicide had more calls than ever and the suicide rate is down.  More succinctly, “When somebody tells you phone calls don’t make a difference, tell them they’re full of beans.”
