Red Shawl Day is an annual national effort to bring attention to the acts of violence committed against Indigenous people, particularly women and. children.

Wyoming has a statewide MMIP Taskforce headed by the Governor’s Office.  In 2021 they presented a survey creating a WY baseline for MMIP data.  An update was presented in 2022.
