State Ballot Initiative on Property Tax Reduction

The November General Election will include a ballot measure.  Voters will decide whether to approve the Homeowner’s Primary Residence Property Tax Exemption Measure, which would establish a homeowner’s property tax exemption that exempts 50% of a primary residence’s assessed value from property taxation.  This is the first ballot initiative since 1996 where enough signatures were collected across the state to meet the criteria for ballot inclusion.

The full initiative and some pro/con material put together by the League can be found here.
