In their latest newsletter, the Braver Angels tell a story from 2022. In Beaumont, SC, a group of residents (150), librarians, teachers, and educators formed subgroups to read, discuss, and approve/reject each book on a list of 97 that was submitted to the county school board. The school board ratified the will of each book’s subgroup. Not one book was rejected.
