The Select Committee on Tribal Relations forwarded a bill for the 2023 Session that would create a work group to craft a WY version of the federal bill Indian Child Welfare Act (ICWA).  The vote was 4-1, but the opposition came from cochair Affie Ellis.  Ms Ellis voted against the bill after Eastern Shoshoni Business Council Chair John St. Clair submitted a letter opposing the bill.  All are waiting for SCOTUS to rule on ICWA Spring 2023.  Read more>>>
