On International Women’s Day, March 8, Roz Schliske and the Cheyenne League of Women Voters brought WY women’s history to the airways.  They chose to honor the first First Lady of Wyoming, Isabella Campbell.  Isabella married Governor John Campbell the first — appointed — governor of WY.   John was halfway through his term when he and Isabella married.   He died eight years after, she died 43 years later in 1923.  They are buried together in Arlington National Cementary.  See the image below.

During the past two months, LWVCH honored three WY women, Kathleen Rochelle, Betty Giffin, and April Brimmer Kunz.  Catch their next honoree and learn more about the women who impact the State’s government.
