This article reminds us that the US House seats more than 435 elected representatives from the 50 states.  It also includes six non-voting seats that respect various agreements made in the 1800s through the early 1900s.  The Cherokee Nation is waiting to see its 1835 Treaty promise kept.  Cherokee Nation Chief Chuck Hoskin Jr. appears below as he appeals the treaty’s case in November 2022.
