Op Ed: Should Co Commissioners pay membership in WACC?

I am often surprised by the excellent support that WY provides for its citizen leaders, both county and municipal: WCCA, WAC, WACO, etc. WY has 99 cities and municipalities and 23 counties. Professional societies like these provide training, facilitate information, and orchestrate gatherings for elected officials.

The legislators have the LSO (Legislative Services Office). LSO is a highly educated team of about 45 people and the state pays for LSO. The Interim Corporations Committee is currently debating whether county and municipal officials should support themselves. Read more>>>
